Prof Dato’ Dr Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, our President was invited to speak at the Higher Education Conference 2021 on 14th January 2021. Prof. Mazliham was featured in the second session with other panellists namely Susan Smith, Associate Dean, University of Sussex; Andrew Smerdon, Teaching Fellow & Part 1 Director of Studies, Lancaster University; Chris Soan, Senior Lecturer in Accounting, Newcastle University; and Seow Poh Sun, Associate Professor of Accounting (Education), Singapore Management University.
The session was chaired by Christiana Diola, Head of Cyprus & Greece, ICAEW. The panellists shared their insights and opinions on the topic entitled “Accounting Education in a Virtual World”, which highlighted on the difficulties and successes that have kept the online delivery of accounting education fresh and interactive. This two-day conference is an annual event organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) to bring together all university partners and to connect industry, academic, and the profession. The conference also served as an avenue to discuss and debate issues impacting accounting education and to share knowledge and insights with global partners.
