Multimedia University (MMU) through its Faculty of Business (FOB) was honoured to be one of the co-hosts of the 22nd Malaysian Finance Association Conference 2020 (MFAC 2020) from 17th to 19th November 2020. The conference was hosted by the Malaysian Finance Association (MFA), and was jointly organised by MFA members from other higher learning institutions such as Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Sunway University, Monash University Malaysia, Multimedia University (MMU), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Taylor’s University, and International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF).
This annual event serves as a platform for scholars and practitioners to meet and share their current research as well as to exchange ideas and information on new development in the areas of finance, economics and accounting. For this year, the conference addressed the theme “Financial Sustainability During the Era of COVID-19 Pandemic”, which is in light with the current situation that is faced globally. A total of 106 research papers were presented and discussed by participants from several countries including Malaysia, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, and Australia.
