A total of 492 students from eight Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM) schools participated in the inter-MRSM Online Quiz that was held recently. The selected MRSMs were MRSM Alor Gajah, MRSM Terendak, MRSM Tun Ghafar Baba, MRSM Tun Dr. Ismail, MRSM Johor Bahru, MRSM Gemencheh, MRSM Kuala Klawang and MRSM Serting. The participants were required to answer 60 questions related to English, History, Physics, Mathematics, General Knowledge and MMU through an online platform.
This initiative was organised by National Marketing and Enrolment (NME) as an effort to promote the university to the prospective students. The participants were required to visit MMU’s website to get more information about the varsity and programme offered. The quiz was divided into two sessions, whereby the first session was a motivation forum followed by a briefing session to boost confidence and improve motivation among the students. The briefing session was aimed to provide some insights on the rules and regulations pertaining to the quiz. The second session was the actual competition itself.
As a result, Nur Zulbatrisyia Mohd Zul Helmi won the competition and received RM300, medal and e-certificate. While, Alysha Hannani Azizul Rahman bagged the first runner up and Afiq Khairizamhady Saipul Nizam took the second runner up. They received RM200 and RM100 respectively together with medals and e-certificates.
