On 14 February 2020, Yayasan Universiti Multimedia (YUM) presented the donation to two recipients namely Ms. Noor Haslina Shahid from President’s Office and Mr. Muhammad Zakki Zahri from Facilities Management Department (FMDC) in Cyberjaya. A total amount of RM12,500 was successfully collected and mostly generated from the generosity of MMU staff since October last year.
They received the donation from Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr. Ahmad Rafi Mohamed Eshaq, the then President of MMU and Deputy of YUM. The event was witnessed by Prof. Dr. Ho Chin Kuan (Acting President/ Vice President of Academic and Internationalisation), Mr. Rozhan Zainuddin (Vice President MMU of Finance and Business Ventures), Mdm. Hayati Othman (Senior Director of Human Capital Management), Datin Noorlindah Hassan (Director of YUM) and Dr. Abdullah Sallehhuddin Abdullah Salim (Director of Student Affairs Division). Ms. Noor Haslina Shahid received the donation on behalf of Baby Zayyan and Mr. Muhammad Zakki was represented by his son, Muhammad Zamir.
Baby Zayyan has been diagnosed with Choroid Plexus Carcinoma and is currently receiving treatment at the Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya, while Mr. Muhammad Zakki is still undergoing treatment due to a stroke attack at the Rehabilitation Hospital in Cheras. YUM would like to express its gratitude to all parties involved in making this donation drive a success.
