FAC Students Visit Palace of Justice

On 6 February 2020, a total of 35 Media Law students from the Faculty of Applied Communication (FAC) participated in a study visit to the Palace of Justice, Putrajaya. The study visit aimed at gaining more knowledge and experiencing the practicality of the Malaysian legal system.

The students were briefed by Tuan Nik Muhammad Azrin Hafiz Nik Mahmood, a Senior Assistant Registrar and the team from the Office of the Chief Registrar Federal Court of Malaysia. The students were enthralled as he spoke on the updated and current decided cases as well as the jurisdiction of courts and tribunals available in Malaysia.

Apart from that, the students gained new insights when they were given an opportunity to attend court hearings for civil and criminal cases during the day. It was an interesting study visit and a memorable court experience for the students.
