Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) hosted its annual alumni homecoming, E-Voyage 2019 at Novotel Hotel, Melaka recently. With support from MMU Melaka Engineering Society, the event served as a platform for alumni and students to gather to nurture a lifelong relationship and to move forward as a resilient team. The dinner brought together 130 invitees including alumni from all across the years, eager to rekindle ties with their alma mater.
The event was enlivened with an exciting word-puzzle game that promotes team spirit as well as an insightful sharing session by three prominent alumni. Ms. Alice Leong Mei Ping (Class of 2016), a project engineer at Sentrix Technology, shared on the sense of responsibility and positive attitudes along the work-life journey. Mr. Su Sheng Sheng (Class of 2014), Technical Sales Representative at Anton Paar, focused on taking challenges and being perseverance and Dr. Lim Chong Hooi (Class of 2011), Assistant Professor at University Tunku Abdul Rahman, gave credence to the importance of lifelong learning. The alumni also expressed that tertiary education in MMU has embedded them with valuable traits and knowledge that helped them to advance into better undertakings.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fazly Salleh Bin Abas, Dean of FET MMU Melaka, presented the Best Peer Tutor Award to three peer tutors for their excellent contribution. The invitees also took part in a lively lucky draw. The joyous and cordial event ended with guests exchanging contacts and well-wishes, promising to return for the next homecoming dinner.
