FAC Lecturers Share Knowledge at National Chi Nan University

Four lecturers of Faculty of Applied Communication (FAC) – Ms Chong Oi Leng, Dr Yong Chyn Chye, Dr Ong Sue Lyn and Assoc Prof Dr Madhubala Bava Harji, were invited to participate in the Symposium on Innovative Second and Foreign Language Education in Southeast Asia recently. The event was organised by National Chi Nan University (NCNU), Puli, Nantou, Taiwan.

Together with other presenters from Taiwan, Indonesia and Thailand, two main themes were presented, the first on Second Language Education in Southeast Asia and its current Development, and the second on Culture in Second Language Teaching and Cross-cultural Communication in Southeast Asia.

Apart from the Symposium, all four lecturers also shared ideas and knowledge to the Master Programme students in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language in NCNU. Professor Chi Wan-Hsian who is the Chair of the programme is convinced that such a session will strengthen mutual academic collaboration between NCNU and MMU.
