FOM Lecturer is Appointed as a Board Member of Malaysia Waqaf Foundation

Dr. Ridzwan Bakar, a lecturer from the Faculty of Management (FOM) was appointed as one of the Board Member of Trustee and National Investment Committee of Yayasan Wakaf Malaysia (Malaysia Waqaf Foundation). The appointment is effective for two years, which is from 1 October 2019 until 30 September 2021.

The appointment letter was signed by Datuk Seri Mujahid Yusof, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department for Religious Affairs. Yayasan Wakaf Malaysia (Malaysia Waqaf Foundation) is an important government agency, plays a crucial role to manage waqf assets and investments for Malaysia as well as to assist the government in reducing the poverty gap amongst Malaysians. This is another notable recognition from the government of Malaysia on MMU expertise in Islamic Social Finance.
