The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) had organised its 4th annual Conference for Diploma in Accounting Students entitled ‘Accounting for the Future’ in Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) recently. A total of 33 final year students and three accompanied lecturers from the Faculty of Business (FOB) attended the conference.
The objective of the conference is to provide the students with insights into their future in the accounting profession and to equip them with tips and tools as preparation for employment ahead. It was such an inspiring and fruitful session whereby Mr. Novie Tajuddin, MICPA CEO delivered his opening remarks and motivation talk.
Other professionals and practitioners from Accounting & HR fields were invited to give talks in the areas of technical accounting, current issues and soft-skills. Besides that, participants also have been exposed to the route on how to become a professional accountant with the MICPA-CAANZ Programme, who will have access to the Global Accounting Alliance (GAA).
