Delving Into Historical Sites with ICT Explorace

On 6 October 2019, a group of lecturers from the Faculty of Business and Majlis Bandaraya Melaka Bersejarah (MBMB) had successfully coordinated and executed “ICT Explorace”. The activity was organised in conjunction with MBMB ICT Carnival 2019. A total of 30 teams which consisted of 2 to 5 members of public racing toward eight checkpoints around historical sites including Jonker Street, Menara Taming Sari, Dataran MBMB, and Museum Samudera.

Participants were required to solve puzzles and riddles using ICT mechanisms such as cloud services, videos and QR codes. Some of the activities involved cleaning up the sites and interacting with tourists. The event was led by Nabil Bin Abas and assisted by Ms. Nor Fauziana Binti Ibrahim, Ms. Ikha Fadzila Binti Md Idris, Mr. Mustarul Husaini Yahya, Mr. Hasfaizal Hasan, Ms. Rashidah Ahmad, Mr. Hasmawi Hasmuni Chew, Dr. Siti Zakiah Bt Melatu Samsi, and Dr. Liew Tze Wei.
