Tun Zaki Gives Talk on Ethics in the Legal Profession

The Faculty of Law (FOL) has been honoured with a visit by the Chancellor of MMU, YBhg. Tun Dato’ Seri Zaki Tun Azmi in Melaka recently. Tun Zaki shared his overview and practice experience on basic courtroom etiquette of lawyers, namely the importance of maintaining an appropriate standard of professional conduct, to be on time; to be polite to the judge, opposing counsel, and court staff; and to dress appropriately, among others. FOL’s Dean, Melaka Campus Director, Deputy Deans, lecturers and STAD representative were also in attendance at the session. FOL has indeed been honoured by Tun’s talk who has also left a lasting impression on staff and students of FOL with his kindness and humility.
