We are proud to announce that Ir. Prof. Dr. Sim Kok Swee from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) was awarded two championships at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) 2019 in Geneva, Switzerland recently. His two projects entitled “Automated and Computerized Protein Determination in Latex Glove” and “Breast Cancer Classification Assistance through Multilayer Neural Network” won the Category 14 ICT Applications: e-Science and Category 10 ICT Application: E-Health.
The two awards had gone through a very stringent review process and again MMU continues to win the championships in adding the awards received in 2016, 2017 and 2018. The projects were spearheaded by Ir. Prof. Dr. Sim Kok Swee and supported by a strong team comprising of postgraduate students; Ms. Ting Fung, Mr. Tan Jin Long, Mr. Lim Zheng You and Mr. Toa Chean Khim. The team collaborated with Malaysia Rubber Board and local hospitals in producing award-winning projects.
