A total of 10 students and 2 lecturers from CMR Institute of Technology (CMR-IT, Bangalore-India) received a warm welcome from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) for an exciting international exchange programme in Melaka recently. The programme was officiated by the Dean of the FET, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fazly Salleh Abas.
The faculty had arranged an array of interesting activities including 3D printing workshop, mobile controlled line-following robot workshop and app development workshop. The activities were assisted by the MMU Robotics Club and Engineering Society. The participants also experienced utilising their self-developed robot to compete in the mini-competition. Aside from the technical workshop, the delegates were also exposed to social activities namely team building, kayaking, wall climbing and many more.
The participants also put their effort into organising a Corporate Social Responsibility project with the MMU committee members. The project was a science day event which involved 500 pupils from Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (T) Kubu Melaka. At the closing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fazly expressed his gratitude to the committee member and graced the certificate presentation to all participates.
