Centre for Alumni (CfA) continues to trace our successful alumni in their GemsTEC (Tracing, Engagement and Collaboration) programme in March. The CfA team met with the Founder/Chief Executive Officer of IX Telecom, Mr Noor Mohd Helmi Nong Hadzmi (FOE, 2003) on 7 March 2019. IX Telecom provides full spectrum of Telecommunication and ICT services in over 200 countries. He was awarded with The BrandLaureate CEO BrandLeadership Excellence Award 2018. His company, IX Telecom also received multiple recognition and achievements such as in APAC CIO Outlook Top 25 Managed Service Providers and the winner of Enterprise 50 Award.
The other meet up was with Mr. Muhammad Rafiq Akmal Mohd Daud (FOL, 2014), Executive Director of Tupperware Brands Malaysia & Singapore on 13 March 2019. Changing his pathway from a legal eagle to a full time Tupperware entrepreneur was worthy when he received accolades from Tupperware. He also was awarded as Top 6 Associate Executive Director in Malaysia. The journey continued with one of the Board of Directors of Sri Ayu College (SAC), Mr Mohd Shafie Md Sarip on 18 March 2019. SAC is a college with a status of Institutions of Higher Learning which focuses on the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Certificate for SPM leavers. The sessions were very rewarding as the CfA delegates picked up many valuable insights and hope to do so in the future.
