‘Dimension 2019’, an educational innovation and design project was held successfully with more than 100 students and 25 students and 25 school teachers participated in the event. The event was jointly organised by Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) and Creative Minds Sdn. Bhd. , in three different places namely e-Theatre, e-Gallery as well as Atrium of the FCM building at MMU Cyberjaya, recently.

Assisted by Interface Design students from FCM, the event aimed to expose the school students and the teachers into developing a new product with innovative thinking. The participants also gained experiences and exposures towards Science and Technology courses and activities such as innovation design showcase, 3D printing workshop and design games. The participants learnt on how to design and build the product with 3D modelling software and to print the object with the 3D printer. As for the design game, the students are encouraged to use their creativity to develop new ideas and solutions to problems as well as technical issues within their team members.

In addition, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on 6 March 2019 between MMU and Creative Minds Sdn. Bhd. is set to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and to expose MMU students with the 3D design. The pact also offers collaborative effort between both parties to work on research and innovation programmes related to STEM education. MMU was represented by its President Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr. Ahmad Rafi Mohamed Eshaq while Creative Minds Sdn. Bhd. was represented by its Director Muhammad Shafiq Shahrul Amar.
