The Centre for Alumni (CfA) went to touch base our alumni at Celebrate TV Sdn Bhd and iCOOP College Sdn Bhd recently. This reach-out was part of the Centre’s GemsTEC (Tracing, Engagement and Collaboration) effort to let our alumni feel that they are a part of the MMU family.
At Celebrate TV, they visited Co-Founder and Executive Producer Puan Nazura Zahian Rahime (FCM, 2002), as well as its CEO, Mr Fariz Hamdi Mohd Noor (FOM, 2002). Also present Mr. Fauzee Nasir, ex-former Research Officer of FCM. Celebrate TV Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian local content production company which has produced various types of content for broadcasters, corporate bodies, videos on demand and online content.
The other meet-up was with iCOOP College Sdn Bhd, the education arm of CCM. They visited the Chief Executive Officer/President of iCOOP College, Mr. Bahrulmazi Edrak (GSM, Class of 2006). iCOOP College is a specialty institution, providing higher education programmes with special emphasis on cooperative philosophy and values. It was established in 2013 to fulfill the National Cooperative Policy 2020, which seeks to produce skilled talents to serve in the cooperative sector. At iCOOP, students live under one roof, which helps them develop and understand cooperative values and entrepreneurial skills.
Both sessions were very fruitful, as the CfA delegation picked up many valuable insights engaging alumni and organising collaborations. The CfA is dedicated to spreading the MMU alumni network, and will be doing more such visits in the near future.
