Multimedia University (MMU) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) to enhance the exclusive pathway for MMU accounting students at Cyberjaya campus, recently.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr. Ahmad Rafi Mohamed Eshaq, the President of MMU and Mr. Paul Aplin, the President of ICAEW.  Under the MoU, it allows MMU to be considered for four additional strategic credits, paving the way of MMU to become the first maximum recognition partner for ICAEW in the future in Malaysia.

The MoU is the second agreement that MMU is signing since the first was in 2015 and our programme secured exemptions from ICAEW. The MoU is in relation to MMU’s inclusion as a partner in their exclusive pathway. It allows our students to take certain papers before graduation while still studying.

During the session, ICAEW conferred its Special Recognition to Assoc. Professor Dr. Gerald Goh Guan Gan, the Dean of Faculty of Business (FOB) to recognise his contribution in driving a mutual agreement between MMU and ICAEW. The recognition is particularly on his work towards attaining ICAEW ACA Strategic Credits for the university’s Bachelor of Accounting (Hons.) programme. This marks a significant milestone for the development of high-calibre future professionals in Malaysia.

Congratulations!
