Faculty of Business (FoB) and International Relations Office (IRO) jointly organised a certificate presentation ceremony and farewell luncheon to bid farewell to the fourteen exchange students from the Kanagawa University, Japan, who successfully completed a one-year exchange programme at MMU’s Melaka Campus recently.
The exchange students also shared their memories and experiences in the event as the faculty had organised a series of activities for them to enrich their exchange experience. Some of the students also completed their internship at the Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum, whereby they were exposed to the local history, heritage and culture as well as to strengthen the intercultural relationship.
Representing FoB was its Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gerald Goh Guan Gan, who congratulated the exchange students for having successfully completed the programme. He also expressed his belief that the exchange experience will enrich their lives and enhance their career prospects and conveyed his best wishes in their future endeavours.
The event was continued with the presentation of certificates of achievement and souvenirs to the exchange students from Madam Indahsah Sidek, the Director of IRO. She also delivered a concluding remarks and encouraged the exchange students to consider pursuing postgraduate studies in MMU in the future.
Also present during the event were representatives from FOB namely Dr. Tan Pei Kian (Deputy Dean, Academic & Internationalisation), Dr. Lye Chun Teck (Deputy Dean, Research & Innovation), Prof. Dr. Hishamuddin Ismail, Dr. Zauwiyah Ahmad, Mr. Tan Gek Siang and other lecturers.
