On 8 October 2018, Faculty of Law (FOL) in collaboration with Centre of Innovation (CIC) organised a one-day workshop which was conducted by two outstanding speakers from the enforcement agency, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Mr. Muhammad Razali Anuar, Director/Head, Strategy & Policy Initiatives Department and Ms. Karen Woo, Director Competition and Access Department. The workshop was attended by 35 representatives from different faculties at Melaka campus.
The workshop aimed at disseminating knowledge on writing policy paper which encourages cross-discipline enhancement of knowledge. Four key issues were addressed during the workshop, namely identification of key policy issues on policy development in a regulatory environment; dissemination of sustainable development goals, knowledge sharing on policies in communications and multimedia sector, and exploring the implications of research for the design and conduct of policy. At the workshop, both speakers and participants were also engaged in a roundtable discussion on sustainable development goals which was very productive and insightful. The workshop has been an eye opener and a stepping stone to policy writing in MMU.
