We are proud to announce that ‘Lite Shower’, a Social Innovation project by Mr. Jee Kian Siong, Dr. Ng Poh Kiat and Ms. Hani Suhaila was selected as TOP 10 Best Innovation at the International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (MCY@IGEM) 2018. The exhibition also showcased other inventions around the world from 17 until 20 October 2018 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The exhibition was launched by Mdm Yeo Bee Yin, Minister of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change.
The ‘Lite Shower’ is fully funded by the High Impace Programme (HIP) 6 of Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia together with SME Corp. The combination project between Faculty of Engineering & Technology (FET) and Faculty of Business (FOB) was featured for commercialisation and promotion during the exhibition. In addition, a total of 30 units of ‘Lite Shower’ was distributed to 10 NGOs for helping the needy community as well as for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and the disaster relief squads. Mr. Tany Anthony, Chief Executive of Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia believes that this product can be commercialised for recreational and outdoor activities.
