Investment Talk
A total of 150 students of the Diploma in Business Administration and Diploma in Accounting attended a talk titled “Cash@Campus by Securities Commission Malaysia” that was held recently at MMU Melaka campus. The talk was delivered by Mr. Nabil Fikri, the Equity Institutional Sales of Maybank Investment Bank for Securities Commission Malaysia.In his talk, Mr. Nabil shared his experience and insight on the performance of investment market in domestic and international perspectives. He also urged the students to take control of their finances so that they can be responsible for their future. This talk also served as a platform for students to obtain knowledge, skills and tools that are needed to exercise good judgement and discretion in making investment decisions.
Professional Certification Talk
Another different talk was delivered by Mr. Rushdan Rozlan, the Manager of the Business Development unit of CIMA SE Asia Sdn. Bhd. to a group of 143 students of the Diploma in Accounting at MMU Melaka campus recently. The talk entitled “See Beyond Numbers, Creating Values with Figures” explaining on the importance of professional qualifications for the accounting students and exposed them to Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualifications and benefits. The sharing session went well and hopefully the talk can further pique students’ interest in Management Accounting and CIMA exam papers.
