On 18 July 2018, MMU Chancellor, Tun Zaki Tun Azmi met up personally with a group of 40 alumni in a session of ‘Meet and Greet between YABhg. Tun Zaki Tun Azmi and Alumni Movers & Shakers’ at SiRi Lab, MMU Cyberjaya.
The huddle was organised by Centre for Alumni (CfA) and Yayasan Universiti Multimedia (YUM) with objective of exchanging ideas to empower alumni’s involvement towards MMU’s excellence. In the discussion, among other, he encouraged the alumni to contribute back to their alma mater, not necessarily in the form of monetary but also expertise of their own fields. To him, alumni can play more significant role to take the MMU’s achievement to a greater height.
Among the prominent alumni were Tan Aik Keong, the CEO of Agmo Studio Sdn. Bhd.; Amat Taap Manshor, the Chief HR Consultant of AJM Academy Sdn. Bhd.; Anaz Abdul Aziz, the Co-Founder of Animonsta Studio Sdn. Bhd.; Noor Mohd Helmi Nong Hadzmi, the CEO/Founder of IX Telecom Sdn. Bhd.; Lim Wey Ling, the Head Of Digital Transformation of Gamuda Berhad; Md. Tahir Musa, the Deputy Director of Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Kon Qi Yao, the Managing Director of BPE Synergy Engineering Sdn. Bhd.
The alumni, together with Prof. Datuk Dr. Ahmad Rafi Mohamed Eshaq, the President of MMU shared some of their point of views and suggestions in the fruitful discussion. Also present, MMU Management Team; Prof. Dr. Hishamuddin Ismail , Mr. S Rajaduray A Selvaduray and Dr. Abdullah Sallehhuddin Abdullah Salim. In addition Datin Noorlindah Hassan, the YUM Director, Dr. Nahariah Jaffar, the Dean of Faculty of Management (FOM) and Jasmine Abdullah, the Head of CfA also attended the session.
