MMU Alumnus Wins First Prize of Queen Rania National Entrepreneurship Competition 2018

On 8 July 2018, one of MMU alumni, Mr. Mohammad Abdallah Khamis Alyakhri was recently awarded with the First Prize of Queen Rania National Entrepreneurship Competition 2018 (QRNEC) in Amman, Jordan.

Graduated with Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons.) (Data Communications and Networking)  of class 2012 from Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST, Melaka) has made the university proud through his winning business idea entitled ‘Womengizer’, a global online marketplace for unique handcrafted products.

The marketplace offers a selection of products that ranging from few dollars handmade keychain to thousands of dollars handmade mosaic throughout the region especially in Jordan. Via Womengizer platform, the handcraft producers and online buyers get connected, whereby all necessary logistics and payment services are available in the lowest possible price.

The QRNEC provides a platform to increase the interest of Jordanian entrepreneurs, innovators and national institutions in designing a path to achieve a well-developed entrepreneurial eco-system in Jordan. The programme strives to advocate entrepreneurial skills as university students and mature entrepreneurs to merge their knowledge with their resources along with their competitive drives to create a business plan that is both practical and innovative.
