A total of 25 accounting lecturers in Faculty of Business (FOB) attended a 2-day training and certification programme conducted by SQL Account, a leading accounting software provider in Malaysia. The hands-on training was conducted from 27th to 28th June 2018 in the faculty’s new interactive i-Biz Lab.
In line with the technological and digital advancement in economy, computerised accounting and payroll systems are indispensable. This training has been immensely valuable that, in addition to reviving the participants’ skills in accounting and payroll software. It also enlightened them on the current needs and demands by the business industries for critical software proficiencies among accounting graduates today.
At the end of the training session, the participants were tested to be SQL Account certified trainers. With the knowledge, skill, and certification gained from this programme, the participants along with the faculty will continue to be proactive and adaptive to the changes that digitalisation will bring to the accounting industry.
