“Dare to Dream, Dare to Be Bold”, a piece of advice from Dr. Ismail Serageldin, the Emeritus Founding Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina to more than 100 students in a special talk held at E-Theatre on 19th July 2018. The special talk was jointly organised by MMU, MDEC and Heritage Amanah International.
Dr. Ismail Serageldin, is an internationally renowned and respected figure in academic and cultural circles. He has lectured widely all over the world and he has published over 100 books and monographs and over 500 papers on variety of topics including biotechnology, rural development, sustainability, and the value of science to society.
During his talk, he strongly urged on youth empowerment when there are so many young people managed to secure the success of their life. He also believed in youth to lead as he mentioned several names like Alexander the Great, Augustus, William Pit the Younger, Napoleon Bonaparte and many more. Dr. Ismail Serageldin also advised the students to be the best and dare to do things that they like.
Also present at the event were the President of Multimedia University, Prof. Datuk Dr Ahmad Rafi Mohamed Eshaq, the Vice President, Growth Ecosystem Development of MDEC, Norhizam Abdul Kadir, representatives from Premier Digital Tech Universities, Heritage Amanah International and MDEC.
