On 30 April 2018, a total of twelve Taiwanese companies participated in the 2018 Taiwan Job Fair which was held at MMU Cyberjaya campus. The event was jointly organised by Taiwan Ministry of Economic Afairs (MOEA), Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Faculty of Engineering (FOE) on behalf of Multimedia University.
The job fair was well-received by the students as it had attracted a lot of them from various backgrounds including engineering, business and computing to attend the event. It also offered more than 100 job openings in areas such as R&D, engineering, foreign business representatives, project management, IT and marketing. The students were also eager to engage in face-to-face interviews, to drop-off their resumes as well as to chat with the company representatives. In addition, TAITRA representatives were also present to provide counselling and guidance on working with Taiwanese companies and relocation procedure.
Aside from the job recruitment activities, an industrial talk was given by Mr. Oliver Tsang, the Section Manager from ASML Taiwan Technology Ltd.
