On 13 February 2018, Multimedia University (MMU) signed a sponsorship agreement with Protech Sports that will further boost the advancement and promotion of badminton-related events for MMU Badminton Club in Melaka campus.
The 4 year sponsorship agreement not only covers the sponsorship of badminton products to the MMU Team players, but also includes special discount on Protech products for MMU Badminton Club (Melaka Campus). In addition, the sponsorhip agreement also covers sponsorship of Protech products as prizes in all tournaments organised by MMU Badminton Club (Melaka Campus); which includes the annual MMU Masters Badminton Championship which is held around the month of April at Ayer Keroh Sports Centre (Melaka). The sponsorship agreement with Protech Sports follows the recent long-term Collaboration Agreement signed between Ayer Keroh Sports Centre (Melaka) and MMU Student Affairs Department (STAD).
The MoU was signed by Covering Director STAD, Mr. Omarruddin bin Ibrahim and Managing Director of Protech Sport, Dato Ronnie Chong. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Mohd Rizal bin Abdul Razak, Campus Director of Melaka and other representatives from Protech Sports. In addition, Chong Wei Feng, our current national badminton singles player was also present in the event. He is also one of the Protech Brand Ambassador answered various questions which were raised by the MMU students on many aspects of being a professional badminton player.
