TTO consists of 2 units namely:
IP Management
The key role of the IP Management unit is to assist the university in identifying, planning, leading, and effectively monitoring the progress of intellectual properties (IP) assets such as patents, copyright, industrial designs, utility innovation in order to spur the growth of these portfolios in MMU based on the IP policy and related guidelines.
IP Commercialisation
The key role of the IP Commercialisation unit is to assist in the commercialisation of MMU intellectual properties and facilitate technology transfer by way of IP licensing and outright sales with external parties. Technology transfer requires a proactive approach that combines engaging researchers, promoting the technology, and encouraging potential industrial partners to use the technology.
