Multimedia University (MMU) and Sethu Institute of Technology, the best autonomous Engineering college in Tamilnadu, signed a pact for academic and research collaborations at MMU Cyberjaya campus on 8 July 2019. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked by MMU President, Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr. Ahmad Rafi Mohamed Eshaq, and Mr. S. Mohamed Jaleel, Founder and Chairman of Sethu Institute of Technology. Also present during the event was Dr. Ooi Chee Pun, Dean of Faculty of Engineering (FOE). The pact emphasised on their joint collaboration in terms of teaching, research, mobility programme and international conferences.
Apart from that, MMU also signed the MoU with Birla Global University (BGU) Bhubaneswar, India in Cyberjaya recently. The MoU also supports research collaborations between two institutions through exchange of faculty experts, publications, literature, research findings and others. The agreement also captures new opportunities in expanding the academic horizons with staff and students mobility programmes, training, workshops and many more. The MoU was signed by Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr. Ahmad Rafi Mohamed Eshaq, MMU President and Prof. Sudhakar Panda, Vice-Chancellor of BGU. Also, present to witness the signing ceremony was Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Gerald Goh Guan Gan, Dean of the Faculty of Business (FOB). The BGU delegates were invited to Melaka campus and hosted ‘Thought Leadership Talk’ by Prof. Dr. Sudhakar Panda and Prof. Dr. Parameswar Nayak, the Dean, School of Management, BGU, which was attended by faculty members of FOB.
