Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) (By Mixed Mode)

DBA is aimed to enrich practitioners and leaders who demonstrate advanced theoretical and technical knowledge in business and management field. The program focus on researching real business and strategic level issues through a critical review and in depth understanding coupled with innovative integration of broad range skills and entrepreneurial mind-set.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in related fields as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
  • A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in non-related fields as accepted by the HEP Senate, subject to having relevant working experience and rigorous internal assessment; OR
  • A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in non-related fields as accepted by the HEP Senate and without relevant working experience subject to passing pre-requisite courses; OR
  • Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in the field or related fields recognised by the Government of Malaysia.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum overall TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based) or 80 (internet-based); OR
  • A minimum IELTS (academic) overall band score of 6.0; OR
  • A minimum credit in 1119 English Examination; OR
  • A minimum MUET overall band score of 4; OR
  • Any other equivalent qualification as determined by the Senate of the University

The English language requirement and English interview is waived for the candidates who are natives of and/or have completed their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from countries that use English as the medium of instruction as well as the first language.

  • Duration of study: Minimum 3 years (1 year of coursework + 2 years of dissertation)
  • Class sessions: Weekend
  • No. of semesters per year: 5 short semesters.
  • No. of subjects taken per short semester: 2 subjects
