This four – seven years’ programme offers Law students a robust understanding of the system of rules that are enforced through social institutions especially in Malaysia.

Students are familiarised with the fundamentals, characteristics, methodology, specialisations, practices, policies and the revolution of law in local and international landscape. The programme encompasses various branches of legal practice, providing exposure in a comprehensive range of areas.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Pass Foundation / Matriculation from a recognised institution, and pass SPM with 5 credits, inclusive Bahasa Malaysia; OR
  • Pass STPM / A level or its equivalent with 3 Principals and pass SPM with 5 credits, inclusive Bahasa Malaysia; OR
  • Pass Diploma in related field from a recognised institution and pass SPM with 5 credits, inclusive Bahasa Malaysia.
  • A minimum score of band 4 in MUET.* *Candidates not meeting this requirement may subjected to an internal review process.
  • English Entry Requirement for International Students: All programmes offered by Faculty of Law require a minimum score of 5.0 for IELTS or its equivalent

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES

  • Demonstrate an understanding of fundamental legal principles, concepts and theories, the working environment of law, and the relevant courts procedures.
  • Apply critical, analytical and problem-solving skills as well as relevant principles, concepts and theories in law to a given situation.
  • Demonstrate an adequate level of proficiency in practical skills including client counselling, mooting, drafting, opinion writing, advocacy, alternative dispute resolution, and research skills.
  • Integrate social and collaborative skills into diverse learning communities.
  • Use appropriate and effective forms of communication when dealing with the public.
  • Integrate digital skills and a broad range of information technology applications to enhance study and research.
  • Apply numeracy skills to computational problems in law.
  • Work independently as well as in teams and be able to lead with autonomy and responsibility.
