The Shell Selamat Sampai Varsity Challenge 2024 (SSSV2024), an inter-varsity road safety innovation competition, was held on 4th and 5th December 2024 at Ministry of Transport (MOT), Putrajaya. This national competition included 40 teams from different universities in Malaysia as part of this industry-academia partnership, bringing together some of the brightest minds from universities across the country from 20 public universities and 6 technical-based private universities nationwide. The competition spanned three stages which are concept proposal submission, video presentation round, and final pitching and judging session.

A team from Multimedia University, consisting of three Bachelor of Engineering students and one Foundation in Engineering student, rose to the occasion, showcasing their ingenuity and collaboration. The team secured a commendable 5th place in this rigorous competition, marking a proud moment for their university. The team tackled challenges in the Innovation and Creativity category, blending advanced technical knowledge with fresh perspectives from their diverse academic backgrounds. Their journey to the final stage was guided by their dedicated supervisors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Wooi Haw, who provided mentorship and strategic insights throughout the process. During the Grand Finale on 4 December 2024, the team impressed judges with their creative solutions and a well-crafted demonstration of their prototype. Their ability to think outside the box and adapt to dynamic challenges set them apart from other competitors.
