Roche Services & Solutions Operations APAC is organising our inaugural Code4life Inter-University IT Virtual Hackathon 2020 for tertiary students based in Malaysia. This means students from other countries studying in Malaysia are also welcome to join us.

• Students to gain work experience by co-creating alongside Roche experts.
• 3 month hackathon will focus on healthcare digitalization & Covid-19 related ideas.
• Top three winners stand to win prizes worth RM15,000, RM10,000 and RM5,000. 

Participating students will have the opportunity to experience real life personal healthcare simulations when working in teams of 1 to 4 persons on proposing technology solutions based on two themes – Healthcare Digitalisation and COVID-19. However, students do not need to have an IT background and can come from any faculty.

Guided by our assigned Mentors, the free programme includes webinars and an online masterclass series conducted by Roche employees. Participants will also sharpen their presentation and interpersonal skills, as well as deepen their IT and healthcare industry knowledge. The Top Three winning teams will be rewarded with cash prizes of up to MYR15,000.

Also, we will be having a briefing session every Friday (10th July) at 1:00pm – 2:00pm Join Friday Q&A.

The purpose of this briefing is to gather students and lecturers from universities to understand further about the Hackathon event and to meet our mentors. We will also have Q&A sessions for anyone who would like to seek further clarification about this event.
