What is WiFi 6 and 6E, and what will the new standards bring anyway? Get answers to what the new standard for WiFi can offer in terms of latest features and improvements!

Synopsis:
These days, more and more parts of our lives have been depending on connectivity. Wireless internet especially WiFi has no doubt played an important role to make this possible in particular at the last mile. To improve the WiFi network efficiency, WiFi 6 (previously also known as 802.11ax) and soon-to-be-released 6E have been introduced as the next generation in the evolution of WiFi. The new WiFi version is expected to work more efficiently in a smarter way to improve WiFi connectivity. For a better user experience, WiFi 6 and 6E are expected to increase capacity and enhance coverage, as well as reducing congestion.

About the speaker:
Mr. Lee Chang Fatt, Anritsu senior field marketing engineer, is dedicated to the signaling test solution for the latest mobile and wireless technology development. The scopes of support are ranged from leading R&D, design verification, conformance testing and mass production in the Asean Region. Before joining Anritsu, he worked under A*STAR’s Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R) for wireless communication planning in national smart sensor deployment and electrical vehicle (EV) development project. In his early career, he used to design cellular products from concept until product realization. This forms a solid foundation in his Anritsu role now to provide technical consultancy. He has gained his Bachelor of Telecommunication Engineering in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
