"I graduated from MMU Cyberjaya in June 2018. The campus is located in Cyberjaya, a quiet and serene city that was expected to develop into Malaysia’s Silicon Valley. It is away from the hustle and bustle of big cities, yet packed with enough basic entertainment and sports facilities. This unique aspect allows students to have a perfect study-life balance without much distractions.
After 5 years of study at MMU, I am honored to be able to grow with the vision of MMU and I believe I am on the right track towards achieving and realizing my passion. My final year project has gotten me a runner-up in Innovate Malaysia 2019 under Intel Technology track, a champion in IEEE Final Year Project Competition under consumer electronics category, and later a publication in the 6th International Conference on Computational Science and Technology. I would definitely dedicate all my achievements to the teaching staffs, and my supervisor. They devoted their time and effort in guiding me, providing valuable feedback and advices, and never failed to encourage and motivate me.
Moreover, the syllabus of the University allowed us to have a strong foundation of fundamental knowledge in the field, both theoretically and practically. My course mates absorbed straight away after graduation by big companies such as Huawei, Intel and Keysight, have been showing gratitude for the knowledge they grasped during their Degree years in MMU. As for myself, the proficiency grants me a scholarship as a Master’s student in Japan, carrying out research on cutting edge technology which involves Artificial Intelligence and the human brain and muscles. Having been shaped in part by the university, I learned to innovate and collaborate in ways that enabled me to establish clear goals in the future. "
"Throughout the year, MMU provides excellent facilities and study environment for its student. I benefited a lot from the environment of the campus which occupied with different types of resources such as the labs and library. The lecturers are friendly and willing to lend helping hands when I meet bottlenecks and difficulties in my studies. Besides, the clubs and societies are actively holding activities for the students to take part in the extra curriculum. I have gained experience by joining IET and IEM as a committee. Also, there will be talks and seminars with industry players for the students to comprehend and expose to the industry. Additionally, MMU held career fair annually for the students who seek the opportunity for industry training and job opportunities after graduation. I went to the career fair and gained a better understanding of the job scope of different positions in the engineering industry as I can face-to-face enquire the details. The career fair also provides walk-in interview that saves the effort for the students instead of sending the resume one-by-one to the hiring companies.

I highly recommend MMU as the place to complete your tertiary education. You will find that with all those benefits MMU offers, you could effectively accelerate your learning and enjoy your studies there. "
"I have been a student of the Faculty of Engineering, Multimedia University since 2008 when I started my foundation year. My first impression of the university and faculty as they were well equipped with all the facilities that I require as a student and a person who was growing into adulthood. From hostels to classes and labs, they were well accommodative to my needs as I go on the journey as an electronics engineering undergraduate student.
Looking back as a Customer Engineer at Microsoft today, I can attest to the quality of lecturers and professors that I get to learn from and work with together in building both my hard and soft skills when I was a student. The electronics engineering major was specifically unique in my opinion because I get to study computer engineering-related subjects as my minor, and they were well aligned to my core subjects. This then led me to pursue Data Science as I started my professional journey, helping me to strengthen my expertise in the Digital Transformation domain. As I make my way through my professional journey at Microsoft, I utilize all the skills I learnt and build upon it as a lifelong learner.
I may have joined the batch back in 2008 as 16 years old who were confident about skipping grades and was the youngest one in the class but lack the experience on how to navigate through my adulthood. However, my time as a student at the Faculty of Engineering empowered me with the confidence and experience I need to be ready for the future; and I have the entire faculty to thanks for – THANK YOU!

"I am currently studying M.Phil in Electronics and Computing Engineering in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), one of the top Universities in Asia. Many of my peers are surprised as I graduated from Multimedia University (MMU), a private university so young without long and prestigious history. Yet, I would argue, being young is actually one of MMU biggest advantages. MMU electronics course has been designed to provide strong fundamentals and always being updated to keep up with the industry. For instance, parallel processing course has been introduced when the multi-core processor has just started became the trend in the market during my degree years. When I worked in Intel Penang Design Center and now studying in HKUST, I cannot help but appreciate the design of the course as it has given me a great starting point before working on the latest processor or the cutting edge research. I could not be the same person as I am now if I have not chosen MMU for my undergraduate study and I would never regret my decision. "
"I have joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, San Diego State University as an assistant professor in 2016. From 2010 to 2016, I was at at the HKUST, Hong Kong, where I obtained my PhD degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering and conducted one year of post-doctoral research. Based on the experience and qualification I received from MMU, I was privileged to be awarded the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship by the Research Grant Council of Hong Kong, which then allowed me to further study in this expensive city, without financial worries.
The EE course syllabus in MMU is reasonably designed according to industrial need and constantly revised. Unlike EE course in other local institutions, EE course in MMU includes many programming subjects which are instrumental to modern electronics. Final year subjects are crafted based on the latest know-how required by the industry. For example, industrial standard IC design CAD tools are used in the teaching so that student can get prior hands-on experience, to prepare themselves for their upcoming working life.
The English language environment in MMU is excellent as the student body is greatly diversified. MMU provides the right cultural setting for students to polish their intercultural communication skills. Such ability is getting more and more sought after as the world becomes ever globalized. "
"Throughout the years at Faculty of Engineering MMU, apart from chasing academic excellence, students are inspired to become people who can bring a better life to this world. It changed my perspective of this profession and we are not merely engineers who get things done as instructed, but we can also be the leaders who will create a better quality of life for our future generations. I am very proud to be an FOE Alumnus!"
"When MMU start up during 1997, its leading edge computer lab/campus and open environment does cultivate a lot of student including myself to excel in different area, be it engineering, finance, startup business, etc. I benefit a lot from what I have learned from MMU, especially in my final year project and my involvement in National Semiconductor Competition, where I have chance to apply the theory and technical knowledge that I have learned in my studied and apply them into real practical usage. The debug methodology and project management skills that I learned during project development still benefit me even in today work environment. My current job is Platform Validation lead in AMD Shanghai. Main job function is to lead the validation team to provide thorough validation for AMD APU (Accelerated Processing Units) platform and ensure a stable and high quality AMD system launched time to market."
