About Us
Digital Home Project is funded by Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), in collaboration with Multimedia University and various industry partners, namely LG, TMNET, Maxis, CTC Resources, EOM System, ASTRO, Intel and Senstech. The main objective of MCMC/MMU Digital Home Lab is to showcase the latest digital home technology and lifestyle using broadband internet access, especially high speed broadband, to the general public. It is one of the initiatives taken by MCMC under the MyICMS 886 strategy for the promotion of broadband usage and digital lifestyle.
Now, with the latest technology trend toward Internet of things (IoT), which involve billions of connected devices, Digital home Lab is now transforming itself into a state of the art IoT incubator.
Mission
In line with the rapid growth of the latest technology, MMU aims to transform its Digital Home and Lifestyle Centre into a state of the art IoT incubator.
In doing so, MMU will lead in nurturing future technologist in Malaysia with solid technical competency in designing, implementing and deploying IoT systems.
Vision
This MMU IoT incubator will propel forward Malaysian innovation, entrepreneurship and exploration in the IoT industry.
The aforementioned initiatives will ensure that MMU will be among the forefront of IoT innovation and commercial excellence by year 2020.
