Prof. Dr. Mardeni Roslee from the Faculty of Engineering (FOE) has been honoured with the Excellence Researcher Award 2024 by the Institute for Educational Research and Publication (IFERP) in May 2024. Prof. Mardeni, a distinguished researcher in the field of Wireless Communication, emerged victorious from a competitive pool of international applicants.  

This prestigious award not only recognises his individual excellence but also underscores MMU’s commitment to advancing its research and academic ecosystem through cutting-edge research and global academic recognition. The IFERP 2024 aims to promote scientific breakthroughs, technological advancements, and socio-economic progress. It offers substantial recognition for researchers and institutions, enabling them to pursue transformative projects that address key societal challenges.  

Prof. Mardeni’s research focuses on modern wireless sensing systems and the Internet of Things (IoT). His work involves collaboration with researchers from Malaysia and Europe, aiming to synergise communication and sensing technology to develop secure, reliable wireless communication systems. His contributions highlight the significance of his research and its potential to create a lasting impact, not only in academia but also in industries and society at large.
