Cern Summer Student Programme 2023

Dear students,

The Academy of Sciences Malaysia would like to invite undergraduate (Bachelor’s) or Master’s students in Physics, Engineering, Computing Science and/or Mathematics to apply for CERN Summer Student Programme (CSSP) 2023. The CSSP offers undergraduate students a unique opportunity to join in the day-to-day work of research teams participating in experiments at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.

Over 8 weeks between June to August 2023, the students will work on an advanced technical project in an experimental or engineering team. The students will attend a series of lectures specially prepared for the students where experts and scientists from around the world share their knowledge about a wide range of topics in the fields of theoretical and experimental particle physics, engineering, and computing. A short report on the work project will be expected at the end of the online internship.

The selected students will find working in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment an incredibly enriching personal experience. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect with other students and scientists worldwide.

Eligibility Conditions

  1. Applicants must be an undergraduate (Bachelor’s) or Master in either Physics, Engineering, Computing Science and/or Mathematics and are at least three years of full-time studies at the university level.
