On 28 April 2022, Yayasan Universiti Multimedia (YUM) organized an event to present financial aid to underprivileged recipients to help them prepare for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

A total of 362 recipients, comprising MMU staff, students, TM staff and asnaf from Putra Perdana Puchong received food and monies, which were presented by Sepang District Officer, Khairi Azali Ibrahim.

At the event, four organizations handed over their corporate zakat to YUM. They were Etiqa General Takaful, with RM200,000, BAKIT TM Pusat (RM150,000), IX Telecom Sdn Bhd (RM50,000), and Uni Klinik Bandar Baru Bangi (RM15,000).

Also in attendance was Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, and Dr. Mohd Rizal Abdul Razak, Director of YUM. In his speech, Prof. Dato’ Mazliham encouraged more people to continue in contributing for donation drive or zakat through YUM. Through this effort, it is hoped that YUM can reach out for many needy people to ease their financial burden.
