Unleashing Insights on Research Paper Writing
The Centre of e-Services, Entrepreneurship and Marketing (CESEM) of the Faculty of Business (FOB) hosted an insightful webinar titled “Delivering your Thought in Research Paper: A Guide for Early Career Researchers” on 30 November 2023. Our esteemed speaker for the event was Dr. Zauwiyah bin Ahmad, a senior lecturer in FOB.
The primary aim of this webinar was to provide valuable insights to new researchers and postgraduate students, offering guidance on writing a research paper, navigating the publication process, and mastering the art of paper review. Dr. Zauwiyah, with more than 15 years of research experience, currently serves as the Chief Editor for our esteemed Journal of Issues and Perspectives in Business and Social Sciences (IPBSS) and holds the position of Head of Department for Bachelor of Accounting (Hons).
During the session, Dr. Zauwiyah generously shared her wealth of knowledge as an editor, offering practical techniques for crafting high-quality research papers. The event drew a diverse audience, with over 30 participants, including students and lecturers from both MMU and other universities.
Participants gleaned valuable insights into the nuances of paper writing and submission to journals. Dr. Zauwiyah also provided perspectives on supervising research and outlined the essential requirements for postgraduate theses. The webinar emerged as a fruitful opportunity for attendees to enhance their understanding of the paper-writing process and gain crucial tips for successful journal submissions.
