On 14 April 2022, MMU hosted a Soft Launch of the Peranti Siswa Keluarga Malaysia initiative, which was organised by the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (K-KOMM) together with the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) at MMU’s Cinema in its Cyberjaya Campus.

The event was officiated by Minister of K-KOMM, YB Tan Sri Annuar Musa and witnessed by Minister of MoHE, YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad as well as President of MMU, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd. Su’ud.

During the event, the minister launched the logo and the website of Peranti Siswa. Through the programme, about 350,000 students of higher learning institutes from B40 families will be entitled to apply for laptops to ease their studies.
