MMU is most honoured to have hosted the Launching of the e-Pemula programme at its Dewan Tun Canselor in Cyberjaya by the Prime Minister, YAB Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, on 15 April 2022.

MMU citizens were excited when MMU was chosen as the kick-off venue, no doubt for the prestige, but also for the fact that the e-cash initiative would benefit many of the university’s students.

Under the programme, some two million youths aged between 18 and 20 who are students of Malaysian institutions of higher learning will be given RM150 in e-Cash. The kick-off event was officiated by the PM, and was attended by Cabinet ministers, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Finance Minister, as well as Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad, Minister of

Higher Education. The event was also attended by TM Chairman, Tan Sri Mohammed Azlan Hashim, TM CEO, Imri Mokhtar, and President of MMU, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd. Su’ud.
