MMU & ICAEW Renew Partnership for Accounting Excellence
Multimedia University (MMU) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) Malaysia have renewed their strategic partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony at Melaka campus on 15 May 2024. The MoU was signed by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU and Ms. Shenola Gonzales, Head of ICAEW Malaysia, facilitating accounting students’ swift transition into their professional careers with ICAEW.
Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham highlighted the long-standing cooperation between MMU and ICAEW in nurturing future professional accountants through various events and other related activities. He also commended the support provided by ICAEW in promoting a robust industry-academia relationship.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Siti Zakiah Melatu Samsi, the Dean of the Faculty of Business (FOB), alongside faculty members and students, giving a special significance to the occasion. This renewed collaboration reaffirms the commitment of both institutions to advance the accounting profession and enhance the career prospects of MMU students.
