INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS IDEA CHALLENGE 2021 (IBIC2021)
14 – 16 December 2021
IBIC2021 is an annual event combining International e-Business & Entrepreneurship Idea Showcase (eBES) and International Young Social Entrepreneurs Competition (IYSEC).
eBES and IYSEC first started in the year 2018, while IBIC was first launched in the year 2020. Over the years, these events have attracted many participants both locally and globally as follows:-
- eBES2018 – 198 participants, eBES2019 – 172 participants
- IYSEC2018 – 96 participants, IYSEC2019 – 155 participants
- IBIC2020 – 185 participants
The main objectives of this annual event are:
- To expose students to entrepreneurship skills through generating new business ideas and providing opportunities for them to pitch the ideas.
- To gain entrepreneurship-related skills and knowledge from MMU’s dedicated academic staff via entrepreneurship workshops provided to the participants.

- Awards (For Each Track and Category)
- For Preliminary Round, each team will receive an E-Certificate of Achievement (Gold, Silver or Bronze Award)
- For Gold Award winners from each track and category will automatically qualify to pitch for Final Round to compete for the Top 3 awards (Champion, First Runner-up and Second Runner-up)
- Other Awards:
- Best Presenter Award
- Best Video Award
- The Most Innovative Idea Award
- Registration Fee
- There will be NO entrance fee required for this Competition.
- School Category:
- 13-15 years old/Form 1-Form 3
- 16-17 years old/Form 4-Form 5
- Higher Education Category:
- Matriculation/Certificate/Polytechnic/Pre-U (form 6) or equivalent.
- Undergraduate (Diploma/Bachelor’s degree)
- eBES – International e-Business & Entrepreneurship Idea Showcase
- Focuses on generating innovative and new online business ideas either in terms of product, service or application that adopt information and communication technology.
- The generated business ideas must have potential to disrupt the relevant industries.
- IYSEC – International Young Social Entrepreneurs Competition
- Focuses on the business ideas that addresses social or environmental issues and challenges.
- The business ideas must have significant impacts on the society while earning profits.
Proposal Writing Workshop
- Day: Every Saturday
- Duration: 4 hours/week/session (9.00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.)
- Participant will choose only 1 session based on preferred date.
- Concurrent workshop.
- Topics covered in the workshops:
- Where this is a problem, there is an idea?
- How to sell? Sell to who?
- Knowing your competitor.
- How to earn money?
- Storytelling time.
