On 12 June 2024, the Faculty of Business (FOB) and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Ayer Keroh joined forces to host an innovative and engaging event named eBVenture: A Language Adventure. Held at the Melaka campus, this programme saw the enthusiastic participation of 30 Form 4 students accompanied by three dedicated teachers.

eBVenture: A Language Adventure was meticulously crafted to make learning English an interactive and enjoyable experience. The event featured a variety of activities designed to ignite students’ interest in the language and enhance their skills. These activities included word creation, puzzle solving, and other engaging language games. The students navigated through five distinct checkpoints, each offering a unique challenge such as idiom matching, story building, word hunts, and more.

This initiative aimed not only to increase the use of English in teaching and learning activities outside the traditional classroom setting but also to boost students’ enthusiasm for English-based activities. It sought to cultivate a strong foundation for the use of English at the school level while enhancing collaboration between SMK Ayer Keroh and Multimedia University (MMU) under the “Outreach” aspect. The programme underscored the university’s commitment to providing a holistic education that transcends conventional classroom boundaries.

The event left an indelible mark on the participants, who exhibited remarkable teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a genuine passion for learning throughout the day.
