Encouraging Early Learning with Story-Board Game at Melaka Kindergarten
On 10 May 2024, a group of dedicated students, accompanied by lecturer Mr. Vincent Chan from the Faculty of Business (FOB), embarked on a heartwarming mission to Tadika Seri Tunas Ceria, a local kindergarten in Melaka. This initiative was a shining example of university social responsibility (USR) in action.
The participating students, Alyssa Amir Amirrudin, Matumithraa A/P Muthu Kumar, Nur Ummairah Hajat Shafie, Nurul Husna Ahmad Sallal, Nurul Syifa Kamarulzaman, Yeoh Ai Xin, Lau Shi Thong, Low Sez Min, Ng Yee Hann, and Moi Jie Min, conducted an engaging and educational activity titled Jayden’s Story-Board Game.
This innovative board game introduced the young learners to the vibrant world of colors and words, boosting their confidence in storytelling. Ten children, all aged six, were selected to participate in this delightful activity. The event was also graced by Madam Magdelene, the kindergarten principal.
This remarkable event underscores the university’s commitment to fostering a sense of community and promoting learning beyond the classroom. It is hoped that more engaging activities will be conducted with diverse audiences in the future.
