21st N-IVAQ 2023 Concludes Successfully in Melaka Campus
On 10 June 2023, the final round of the National Inter-Varsity Accounting Quiz (N-IVAQ) was concluded successfully at the Melaka campus on 10 June 2023. The event was officiated by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU together with the presence of Puan Rasmimi Ramli, Executive Director of Sustainability, Digital Economy and Reporting Division of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
In his speech, Prof. Dato’ congratulated the organiser, MMU Accounting Club for the unwavering efforts in ensuring the event was held thrivingly. Through this event, Accounting students from various universities and higher education institutions participated in this competition. It also provided a great avenue for the participants to connect with each other and exchanged their understanding, knowledge, skills as well as experiences.
A total of 45 teams from 29 universities and colleges participated in the competition including Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), HELP University, Taylor’s University, AIMST University, and others. As a result, MMU teams were announced as champion and first runner-up, while the Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology team secured the second runner-up.
Among other attendees were Mr. Andrew Yew, Senior Recruitment Manager of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW); Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President of Student Experience & Entrepreneurship Development cum Director of Melaka campus; Dr. Siti Zakiah Melatu Samsi, Dean of Faculty of Business (FOB) and other MMU officers.
