We are incredibly proud to announce that Yeo Quan Xiang, a Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons.) in Artificial Intelligence student from Multimedia University (MMU), has won the grand prize at the ZTE NextGen 5G Hackathon, held on 17 October 2024 at MMU’s Cyberjaya campus! 

His project, titled “Critical Infrastructure Monitoring using 5G, Kubernetes, and AI,” stood out among 46 entries from 18 universities, securing him a well-deserved cash prize of RM8,000. 

This prestigious event, a collaboration between MMU and ZTE Malaysia, showcased cutting-edge 5G innovations across key areas like Healthcare, Smart Cities, Infrastructure, and Environment. Yeo’s achievement is a shining example of how MMU students are leading the way in shaping the future of technology.
