As part of the ongoing initiative to strengthen industry-academia collaboration, a luncheon meeting was held on 11 April 2025 between the academic team from the Bachelor of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) program and representatives from Huawei Technologies.

The academic team was represented by Dr. Ong Lee Yeng (Academic in Charge of Career and Industry Collaboration, and Huawei Academic Leader at MMU Melaka campus), along with Dr. Jashila and Dr. Goh Pey Yun. The meeting was led by Ms. Delea Tan, Talent Ecosystem Manager from Huawei Malaysia, accompanied by Ms. Nurul Azleen (Senior Partner Sales Manager), Mr. Nick Niu (Senior Vertical Solution Expert), and Mr. Larry Wang (Enterprise Training Manager).

The luncheon was more than just a meal — it was a fruitful discussion on potential collaborations that could greatly benefit our staff and students. Topics included the integration of Huawei’s cutting-edge enterprise training content into our academic curriculum, and even the possibility of setting up a dedicated lab equipped with Huawei products.

This promising partnership aims to bridge academic learning with real-world industry needs, ensuring our students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical exposure – making them industry-ready from day one.
