MMU celebrated a momentous chapter in its history during the 25th Convocation Ceremony, a landmark occasion that saw the conferment of the prestigious Honorary Doctorate of Management upon a royal couple for the first time ever. The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, and The Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Binti Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj, were honored for their exceptional leadership in administration and governance. Their steadfast dedication has significantly contributed to the nation’s stability and prosperity, even amidst numerous challenges during their reign.
MMU’s Chancellor, Tun Dato’ Seri Zaki Tun Azmi, conferred the degree in a ceremony witnessed by MMU’s President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, during the first session of the convocation ceremony. The event was further distinguished by the presence of MMU’s Pro-Chancellor, YBhg. Academician Tan Sri Dr. Zakri Abdul Hamid, Mr. Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Telekom Malaysia (TM), as well as university representatives and special guests.
The university also announced its 12 top-performing graduates from the Class of 2024, who were honoured with the Chancellor’s Award, President’s Award, Best Postgraduate Research Award, and Permata Award.
